Suzuki's unveiled the eVX concept as their first electric vehicle slated for 2025 has sparked debate among enthusiasts. Promising to blend their 4x4 heritage with EV technology, the eVX hints at a potential electric Jimny or Vitara, but its dimensions and styling suggest a closer competition with models like the Hyundai Kona Electric. While boasting a potential 341-mile range (MIDC standard) and 60kWh battery, key questions remain about its target audience, off-road capabilities, "Suzuki driving experience" in EV form, and ultimately, its affordability and how much of that rugged DNA will carry over. The hidden interior and two-year wait only fuel the speculation as we ponder whether this will be a true off-road EV or a more mainstream electric SUV.

It's all about the price, I think. Suzuki's always been good at making cheap and practical cars, so if they can nail the cost and keep some of that ruggedness, it could be a winner.

The eVX concept is intriguing, but will it truly deliver on Suzuki’s off-road reputation? A 341-mile range sounds great, but how capable will it be beyond pavement?
